Immunity Not Sufficient Enough For Medical Cannabis

About 40 families of children with seizures and other severe illnesses gathered to express their support, including Valerie Weaver of Augusta and her son, Preston, who is the first to get access to a marijuana oil drug called Epidiolex through a clinical trial at Georgia Regents University. Weaver said she will continue to come to Atlanta to lobby for the bill throughout the legislative session.

This came to light when parents became disappointed when they found out about Gov. Nathan Deal’s lack of support for growing and creating the oil in Georgia, adding that immunity will not help them (parents and their sick children).
